AARON_EXTREAM's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Nov 22, 10:08

1
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- When clients leave a session with me, I want them to feel completely renewed—physically, mentally, and emotionally. My goal is for them to walk away not just feeling relaxed but also with noticeable improvements, whether that’s reduced pain, increased mobility, or a deep sense of calm.

I hope they feel like they’ve been truly cared for, that their specific needs were heard and addressed. Each session is tailored to the individual, so I want clients to know they’ve experienced something uniquely designed for them.

Ultimately, I want them to leave with a sense of balance, energy, and well-being—and looking forward to their next session!

2
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- Absolutely, extensive training is essential for a Masseur to be truly successful. While natural skill and intuition are helpful, proper training provides the foundation for delivering effective, safe, and professional care.

Understanding anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques is crucial for addressing clients' needs, whether it’s pain relief, stress reduction, or recovery from injury. Certifications in areas like **Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)**, trigger point therapy, or sports massage not only enhance your skills but also set you apart in a competitive field.

Beyond technical training, ongoing education is key. The field of massage therapy evolves, and staying updated with the latest methods and research allows you to continue offering the best care possible.

Ultimately, training gives you the confidence to handle diverse client needs and build a practice that clients trust and return to. It’s the combination of skill, knowledge, and care that creates long-term success.

3
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I’d say I’m a mix of both! I enjoy traveling occasionally, whether it’s exploring new places, learning different techniques at workshops, or just taking a well-deserved break. Traveling gives me fresh perspectives and helps me recharge, which ultimately benefits my practice.

That said, I’m definitely more of a homebody at heart. I love the stability of having my practice here in Fort Lauderdale, near Wilton Manors, where I’ve built strong connections with my clients and the community.

For me, there’s nothing better than returning to my comfortable space, where I can relax and focus on what I love doing most—helping my clients feel their best. So while I enjoy the occasional trip, I’m happiest when I’m close to home.

4
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I’ve been a Masseur for over [insert years you've been practicing], and it’s been an incredibly fulfilling journey. Each year brings new experiences, deeper connections with clients, and more opportunities to refine my skills.

How long do I think I’ll continue? Honestly, I see myself doing this for as long as I can. The work is not only rewarding but also a passion that keeps me inspired. As long as I’m able to make a positive impact on my clients’ lives—helping them feel better, recover, and thrive—I’ll keep going.

Massage therapy isn’t just a career for me; it’s a calling. And as long as I have the ability to help others, I’ll be here, doing what I love.

5
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- What sets me apart from other Masseurs is my combination of clinical expertise, years of experience, and the personalized care I bring to every session. While many focus on relaxation alone, I specialize in therapeutic techniques like **Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)**, **isometric stretching**, and other manual therapies designed to address pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being.

My practice is located in a professional, all-male environment near Wilton Manors, where I’ve created a space that blends the precision of clinical care with the tranquility of a spa. Clients leave not just relaxed but with noticeable improvements in their physical condition, whether they’re recovering from an injury, managing stress, or looking to feel their best.

I pride myself on tailoring each session to the individual, taking time to understand their needs and providing a truly customized experience. It’s this blend of expertise, attention to detail, and genuine care that distinguishes me from the rest.

6
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- If you’re considering becoming a Masseur, my biggest piece of advice is to focus on both skill and connection. Take the time to build a strong foundation by learning proper techniques and understanding the body—you’ll need a mix of anatomy knowledge and hands-on practice to truly help your clients.

Equally important is developing your ability to listen and connect with people. Every client is different, and understanding their needs is key to providing a personalized and effective experience.

Invest in your education and certifications, but also invest in yourself. Self-care is critical in this field—you need to maintain your own physical and mental health to be at your best for your clients.

Lastly, approach this work with genuine care and professionalism. Being a Masseur isn’t just about providing a service; it’s about creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel better and leave rejuvenated. If you’re passionate about helping others and committed to growth, it’s an incredibly rewarding career.

7
Why did you become a Masseur?

- I became a Masseur because I’ve always had a passion for helping people feel better, both physically and emotionally. There’s something incredibly rewarding about using my skills to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve someone’s overall well-being.

What drew me to massage therapy specifically is how hands-on and immediate the results can be. Whether it’s helping someone recover from an injury, releasing tension from a stressful day, or simply giving them a moment of peace, I love seeing the positive impact my work has on others.

For me, being a Masseur isn’t just a job—it’s a way to connect with people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. It’s a career that combines science, art, and care, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

8
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- In my spare time, I enjoy activities that keep me balanced and inspired. Staying active is important to me, so I often hit the gym or go for a run to keep both my body and mind sharp. I’m also passionate about learning new massage techniques or staying updated on wellness trends—it’s a hobby that benefits my practice and my clients.

When I’m not working or staying active, I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s at the beach, exploring nature trails, or just enjoying the beautiful weather here in Fort Lauderdale. Cooking is another way I relax; experimenting with healthy, flavorful recipes is both fun and rewarding.

And, of course, connecting with friends and exploring the vibrant community near Wilton Manors helps me recharge and stay grounded.

9
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- When someone leaves a massage session with me, I want them to feel transformed. Whether they came in with pain, stress, or simply the need for a break, my goal is for them to walk out feeling lighter, more relaxed, and completely refreshed—both physically and mentally.

I want my clients to feel like their specific needs were truly understood and addressed. Whether it's reduced tension, improved mobility, or a deep sense of calm, they should leave knowing the session was all about them and tailored to help them feel their absolute best.

Above all, I want them to feel cared for, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world with a renewed sense of energy and ease.

10
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- If I were to pick one thing for my clients to absolutely know about me, it’s that I genuinely care about their well-being. My approach is rooted in both skill and empathy—I’m not just here to provide a service but to help them feel their best, whether that means relieving pain, reducing stress, or simply offering a moment of peace in a busy life.

I bring years of experience and certifications in therapeutic techniques like Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), isometric therapy, and other manual therapies, but what sets me apart is the personalized care I provide. Every session is tailored to the individual because no two bodies—or needs—are the same.

Above all, I want clients to know they’re in a safe, professional, and welcoming space where their comfort and recovery are my top priorities.

11
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- Success, for me, is about more than just the number of clients I see or the income I earn. I consider myself a successful Masseur because I’ve built a practice that truly helps people. Whether it’s relieving chronic pain, easing stress, or providing a space for relaxation, I take pride in making a positive difference in my clients' lives.

What makes me feel successful is the trust my clients place in me and the feedback they share about how much better they feel after a session. It’s the relationships I’ve built and the results I’ve delivered that make me feel accomplished in this field.

Of course, there’s always room to grow and learn, but I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far and grateful for the journey!

12
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- I can absolutely see why people say that being a Masseur is addictive—it’s incredibly rewarding. There’s something special about creating a space where someone can fully relax, let go of stress, or find relief from pain.

Would I miss my Masseur days if I ever stopped? Without a doubt. The connections I’ve built with clients, the satisfaction of knowing I’ve helped someone feel better, and the energy exchange during a session are things I’d always treasure.

It’s not just a job; it’s a passion and a privilege to use my skills to make a difference in someone’s life. I think that’s why many of us in this field find it so fulfilling—and yes, a bit addictive in the best way possible!

13
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- Do I remember my first client? Absolutely! It was an unforgettable experience. I remember being both excited and a little nervous—it’s a big step to turn your skills into a professional service. That day, I realized how powerful touch can be in helping someone feel better, both physically and emotionally.

My first client had tension and pain in their shoulders from working long hours. After the session, they told me they felt like a new person, and that moment confirmed I’d made the right decision to become a massage therapist. It’s what inspires me to keep learning and offering the best care possible.

Every client I work with is a chance to make someone’s day better, and that’s what keeps me passionate about what I do.
