ABCDE's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
The day I decided to pursue this was when I realized how effective this could be in improving someones being, not only by releasing physiological stress but also their emotional stress as well.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would miss it as knowing that you're helping someone feel better can definitely become addictive.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I'd like to think so.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am a very intuitive person. Its not just enough to learn techniques but its also important to learn how to read your clients body.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like for them to feel relaxed and enlightened.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like hanging out with my golden retriever, bike riding, working out and pretending to be an amateur chef.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I loved the idea of being able to help people using a therapeutic touch.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Always be sincere with your clients and think only of them during the session as it will help in making your connection stronger which will heighten their experience and allow them to relax even more.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I feel that my intuitive nature allows me to understand my clients needs more so than most.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
On and off since my early 20's, so roughly about 10 years. No matter what direction my life takes me I hope I will always be able to provide these services.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I try to travel as much as I can as I truly enjoy it, but I can be just as content sitting on the couch watching a movie.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I feel that one should always seek to continuously improve oneself as no matter how much training, experience or knowledge we think we have we can never stop improving ourselves.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
This question is similar to another that has already been asked, so my answer is the same. I would like for my clients to leave feeling relaxed and enlightened.
