Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was so good to work on, I remember just being so happy that I had chosen to be a CMT.
I remember massaging a friend and it was just magic. It’s like I was given this as a gift. That was the day I decided to do become a CMT and being a classically trained dancer it really gave me a head start and a knowledge that has made my massage the beautiful experience. I even discovered a style and technique I used on that day and still to this day!! Its certainly a winner and a special experience that will be remembered By the client for a long time to come !!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Oh God yeah. It’s a connection I get and love having as well as the client. it’s spiritual, it’s healing, it’s exciting, It’s relaxing and it’s an extraordinary experience for all.i feel I get the massage benefits as well so I get paid to do what I’m passionate about!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I would have to say I am successful for several reasons. I am a very important value which is Empathy. It really drives the experience even deeper, I’m a believer in everybody deserves to be lovingly touch and taken care of.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Like they have experienced temporarily leaving of their body! Felt a little vulnerable but found an even more understanding of what breath and doing it right can do for us!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am an International Dancer and choreographer from Australia now living in the USA. I create dance inspired and fitness education training workshops that allow me to travel all over the world. Being a Certified Massage Therapist Has allowed me to share my gift, passion of massage and healing touch the love and care I have for others. I believe everybody needs to be lovingly touched and I am certainly the man to come to just for that.. be prepared to letdown some walls, show a little vulnerability and be taken on a journey you’ll remember forever!!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Choreograph, design dance inspired fitness classes and education workshop. Create fitness dvds and empower all I can.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have empathy and just wantrd to make people feel amazing and enjoy the spiritual and sensual experience they deserve to feel
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get good training in classes like yoga, really listen to and feel your body. Educate yourself always and stay on top of your games always
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I have experience, I’ve lived, I have empathy and compassion. Respect and professionalism is the key!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
12 years
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel all over the world and would never change it for anything .i love to always learn , meet different cultures and share it with others.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes and no.stay on top of what’s happening always,know your body, be passionate, care and be professional and discreet in a clever way. Listen well and have great posture around people
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
That they have been able to let go, feel the magic created between themselves and I. Cared for and loved!! Even had them feel that they had let down a few barriers or so. Also being able to have them feel the massage even deeper... lastly knowing that I went that extra mile to have them feel relaxed and excited!!
