BabyBear's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do. I was very nervous and so was he, but then it just comes second nature and I was able to connect with his energy and then we were both relaxed. :-)
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I certainly would and it is addicting! I love everything about the male body and making my clients feel good as it makes me feel good!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I am a work in progress as I am still just getting started and trying to get regular clients set up. However, it's still a rewarding experience being able to create my own schedule and have more time for me, so I'd say overall I am successful. :-)
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Hmmm... what should my clients absolutely know about me? I guess that I am a genuine guy. What you see is what you get. I don't try to impress anyone and I live in the moment!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed and satisfied of course! ;-)
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Well I am a certified " foodie ". I use YELP a lot! I refer to Yelp to find new restaurants and I write reviews! Also I love going to the movies, theatre, watching Netflix shows with my roommates, travel, and video games!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I decided it was time to follow my true passion. I gave up the mundane day job to focus on using my gift of energy work to heal and relax! Nothing brings me more pleasure! :-)
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I would say go for it and follow your bliss! Use your skills, but don't be afraid to add YOUR unique touch that makes you YOU! Don't be afraid to think outside the box and be different. Also, ALWAYS be respectful of your clients. Value each and every one of them and treat them with dignity and respect. Good luck! :-)
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am just me. I don't put on an act and I am not a muscle god. I am unique because I am Baby Bear! ;-)
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
For about 3 years, but now I am focusing on it full time and hope to continue to build regular clients and be doing this for a long time to come!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I only do out calls in respect to my roommates unless you become a regular therefore gaining my trust and then with advanced notice, I can host you here. But overall, I like to travel to get out of the house. :-P
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Extensive training is good of course, but to be SUCCESSFUL, it's going to come down to the talent of YOUR touch!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Like they have truly had a positive experience that they thoroughly enjoyed and will remember and will want to have another session ASAP!
