Cheyuk's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have been massaging people since high school and have always enjoyed making people feel good.
I completed my dream of becoming a LMT and enjoy leaving my clients feeling relaxed.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client as an LMT was amazing! He was very vocal with his feedback, which helped me to perform his massage better.
I was able to bring relief to some very sore muscles and left him completely satisfied.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I'd like them to feel that they've received a relaxing, quality massage and very happy that they made the appointment.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
That they have received the best massage that they've ever had! And want to book again!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
When a masseur is more focused on how hot they are or proclaiming how they're endowed like a baby moose, it's not likely that you're going to get a quality massage.
I focus on the client and provide them with a massage that will make them feel good and leave them satisfied.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I don't think I'll ever stop being a masseur. I hope to continue for many more years to come.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I consider myself successful because I have many return clients and I enjoy what I do.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Since this interview is supposed to be g-rated, I won't put what my favorite hobby is. [wink] In my spare time, I'm pretty much a geek: I play quiz games online and a couple of other online games.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Training in massage is always going to be your best option. Not only will you provide a better service, you'll reduce the risk to your own body and increase your longevity as a masseur.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Judging from my experience with other masseurs, I would say that what distinguishes me from them is that I listen to my clients and tailor my massage to fit their needs.
I do not rush through my massage nor do I perform the same massage routine on every client.
