College_Twink's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was actually my friend. He had shoulder/back pain from playing soccer and just asked me to massage him on the field for relief. He felt so comfortable and relaxed as I worked my hands, that after the game he just had me go back with him home to give him a full massage to relax his muscles and release tension after the game. Seeing him so relaxed as I worked my hands on him and hearing his relief sighs made me think about probably doing this more often. It all kicked off when he gave me positive feedback the day after and actually had me come back often and recommended me to his friends.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It actually is. Forget getting tired working on a body for an hour or two, it actually is fun in its own way, and that is what keeps me going and being fully loyal to my work. Getting those positive feedback drives me to keep on going and eager for my next customer. If I stop for a month or two or even more, depending on my circumstances, I do start to miss it and feel the urge to massage anyone around me who feels tension in their body.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, so far I never had complaints from my customers about my work, and that is because I always make sure both of us understand the nature of the work and what they should expect from me. If the customer requires specific type of massage or request that I can't fulfil or provide, then I make it clear early before setting an appointment. I always lay out the full experience on the table to have a mutual agreement.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am new around here, wish I knew about this portal a while ago. I am open minded and educated. I respect the clients privacy and discretion, as well as I expect to preserve mine too, that is why I like to work mostly with VIP personals and businessmen. I don't mind working with any type of customers of age, ethnicity, gender, as long as an understanding is met.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
To feel satisfied and relieved. To be pleased and happy to hire me again soon.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I am still a college student, part of my living expenses and tuition is dependent on this side job. However I go to the gym 5 days a week and like general sports. Love travels a lot and adventure with a wild kick!
Why did you become a Masseur?
At first it was a fun hobby to practice with friends, but then when I started to get paid offers, it changed to something more serious.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Respect the customer. Keep on practising and don't stop, else you would lose your touch. Be humble and down to earth.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
It all depends on the customer's preferences. At this moment my price is considerable and affordable. Young, good looking and in good shape. Soft hands yet have a tough touch. Experience!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
As in business I have been doing it for the past 3 years, but as a hobby it was earlier for about 2 years. So a total of 5 years now.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel a lot. About 3-5 times a year. Staying home for a long time kills my vibe. I always need to refresh and go out do something new.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Depends. It all falls back to practise. Training is obviously necessarily to know the basics and learn about the human body and how to deal and work with customers. Once you know the basics, you are all on your on then. A successful masseur is one who has experience and has his own touch. Experience = Extensive Training.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Satisfied. Want to give me a call back. Would recommend me. Be tempt to tip me more.
