CuteBoyAkira's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I have always enjoyed giving massages and helping others feel better. As a service under my license, his first name was Susuke. It was about ten years ago.
He loved. Susuke became a regular and generally saw me every other week to once a month for a year and a half. We became good friends.
Susuke was at my school. He was on the tennis team and often had pain in his traps and and shoulders, and suffered from pain due to a surgery. I remember giving him a sample massage; from there, he hired me for those massages as needed. Since I saw him so much, the price was a bit discounted.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I absolutely would miss them. The reason is, I love being a healer and I love sharing my energy by making others feel better, and I love the connections it may form.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do consider myself a successful masseur. I have not ever had an unhappy client; they love it and if they are local, they always return. I see between two to three clients a day, so I am not disappointed. I feel satisfied in my work. I always want to learn to better improve anything and my skills to promote my services, so I may have the opportunity to help more. I have tools and I am very hands on in not only giving a massage but ensuring the client as a whole, leaves happy and enjoys every second.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Well, I have a tall bookshelf and I have drawings and canvases of my paintings lying around, being prepared to be hung. I’m a little bit of a nerd but quite social. I love to exercise. I’m an entrepreneur and self employed, so this alongside something else is what I do. I’m determined to become successful by making it myself.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Like every client that leaves. I expect them to feel euphoric and at bliss, and hopefully with a smile but not necessary. 😊
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to paint and draw, and sing. I learn of other cultures and I love science. I’m a writer as well and alongside a blog, I am writing a book.
Outside of this, I exercise everyday via mainly, strength training and I do both cardio and yoga. have begun to swim more. I want to learn how to surf.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Have intent in every action you make. This is advice for anything. It will lead you to success and quite importantly, provide a wonderful experience for your clients.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Not only am I trained but I am a seer. Without telling me, already know where the problem is and how to make it better. I can feel your energy and I can feel your pain.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Well, from the age of six I have been giving massages. Quite good at that. For paid services, I have been getting them for about 10 years. i’m not really certain I will at any point, stop.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel. As a matter of fact, I have an upcoming to Kona. Although, I had plans for Europe with a friend who invited me, business has been very up, so I decided to stay and perhaps, go later this year. I have a lot of friends in England/UK and Denmark, Czech and Norway, China and Brazil, and Mexico. One of them is in Sri Lanka but we did not meet there.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
It varies on the person but not always will the individual know theirself to judge that. :@ to ensure success, I agree extensive training is necessary.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I relish in their happiness and relaxation, and any feelings of euphoria. I want to make their day.
