DAVIDMASSAGE's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was hoping I would be able to provide a healthy, healing and awesome massage. My first client was totally impressed and has become a lifelong client.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do! I love giving the clients I work with an exceptional experience. I want my clients to feel released from life’s stress, and leave feeling relaxed and blissfully calm.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Of course I would miss massaging. I hope to do this my whole life.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I consider myself to be very adaptable and supportive. I'm an artist professionally and live a creative life. Massage helps me to feel connected to others, and i love this life.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I'd like my clients to leave with a sincere sense of well being. Totally relaxed and yet invigorated to welcome the continuing days ahead.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Urban Hikes, social Justice, team sports, and group play, music and tend to be a bit competitive. While I’m a bit of a controller by nature, I tend to be more of a follower when it comes to the roles we play in life.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I've massaged friends all my life, and found that I could do this professionally. I like making people feel good.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Love what you do. Be open to all people and don't discriminate.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I’d prefer to let my clients decide what differentiates me from other masseurs, as we each bring something to the table. Every single session is unique. That Being said I guess I would add that I have a very open attitude and I encourage people to not feel burden by guilt. My hours are pretty flexible. I also am a professional artist and I think the art that hangs around my space as a certain social connection to the experience.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been massaging for ten years, and plan on continuing as long as I can.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel and see how others live.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think experience helps the masseur be intuitive and gives a sense of well being and calm to the massage.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I like my clients to feel connected, grounded, relaxed, ready for the days ahead, and look forward to seeing me for another session in the not too distant future.
