Dansbodywork's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I sure would. It gives me a sense of pleasure and accomplishment to have had a positive and enjoyable impact on my client.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do indeed. I have been doing this for enough years now to have established countless numbers of awesome clients and always welcome new ones.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
They always feel so grateful and I have made they're day.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I wanted to get into the healing arts element after many years in the corporate world.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
That I have integrity and am authentic, genuine, and can be counted on. Just an all around laid back good guy and am completely non-judgmental regarding a potential clients body type, age, etc.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Now this is a somewhat difficult question. One thing I never say or put in advertising is the phrase "best in Vegas". I believe we all have our own individual styles and techniques and leave the "best" word up to our clients if they might feel that way. I respect all the other masseurs and never feel that I am in competition with anyone. We all enjoy what we do or we most likely wouldn't be doing it.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
It was so long ago, I don't remember exactly. As far as when I decided to become a masseur I do remember getting a massage and an epiphany came over me. It was an exciting feeling that I just knew I could do this and do it well. And the rest is history.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy hitting the gym to keep as fit as I can.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
The advice I most likely would give is to give all you got to each and every client. By all means do not judge based on body type or any other aspects. Be true and authentic and have alot of integrity. DO NOT BE FLAKEY!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur since 2000. Actually 1999 as a massage student. When I received my certification and license, there I was starting out in the spa world before doing it on my own. I'll continue as long as my bod is capable.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I don't travel as far as massage goes. I prefer to work from the comfort of my own home.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe extensive training is necessary if one plans to be great at all the different types of modalities. As far as being successful, that happens beginning with YOU and what you put into it.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
That they definitely had made the right choice when having their massage experience with yours truly.
