What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Be patient, be interested. Take your time for all of the aspects involved. Sometimes it's weird or difficult, but if you relax and stay true to what really works for you, it can absolutely be great.
Enjoy making money with something very special, but don't force it, because that will make you feel bad about yourself and your work.
Respect the client and be as open as you can to what he brings to the table (😏), but also respect yourself and your important choices about what's possible for you. Show love and clarity.
You are a professional offering defined services to make life better for hopefully many clients and that's a valuable occupation. Take good care of it and you and the clients will be happy!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I swim, work out and walk to stay in physical and mental shape. I love sauna, reading, cooking a delicious healthy meal, philosophizing by myself and with friends about life and humanity. And I spend quite some time taking very good care of my love life!
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was around 1990, when I started out as a Shiatsu therapist. I started a serious Shiatsu training after a more or less ‘accidental’ initiation weekend.
I was a law student and had had a childhood in which I never really had to do much with my hands and wasn’t actually stimulated to use them. I thought of almost everyone as handier than me.
During the Shiatsu initiation weekend, I discovered, and was told by the teacher, that I had a gift for treating people with my hands. That proved to be a really important revelation. I started to study Shiatsu and other massage forms and over the course of the years applied myself to several natural health disciplines. I became a Shiatsu therapist, was a yoga teacher and an alternative psychotherapist. I discovered Tantra and Tao erotics and found out how fundamental sensuality and eroticism are to the human body and mind.
It seemed like all of those experiences gradually led me to the unavoidable decision a few years ago, to at least try out being a full time masseur and to offer very sensual erotic massages. It was very quickly that I realized how much this activity changed my life for the better and I didn’t look back once!
