Why did you become a Masseur?
I thought I wanted to make it big time in a private studio to provide lifesaving techniques to regenerate and revive my clients minds, bodies, and their spirits. I began at a chiropractors office making $9 an hour, back-to-back, non-stop, no breaks, and i became disinterested and disgruntled when i realized the office charged $120 for my services. I thought I returned to help myself financially while attending college again, but i became aware of the necessity for human touch. Our world has become so scared of each other that no one touches anyone anymore. I am blessed with the gift of touch, and I feel complete knowing that I can offer my touch that might be necessary/vital to someone who is in need of physically affirmation and that validates their existence. WOW THAT WAS DEEP. MAYBE TO DEEP!!!!!!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do believe that I am a successful massage therapist because I only feel good when my clients receive exactly what they specified from our first interactions. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy the money, but making someone feel better than before I have the chance to get my hands on their bodies relieving their built up tension and stresses. That is my success.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My instinctive emphatic spirituality. I am human just like everyone, and I do have bad days too. If I am ever in a bad place and feel bankrupt and inadequate to provide enough positive energy to benefit my client I will reschedule everyone for that day. I do not think it is fair to give away my bad vibes to someone who is in need of and paying for a renewal of positivity.
