JamesLeer's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do remember, I was so nervous but I had nothing to be nervous about, my client was very gracious and kind. I knew more or less what to do so I gave a great session.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like my client's to feel a sense of calm in their bodies and mind's, a sense of stillness and silence.
I want my client's to feel cared for and beautiful when they get off my table.
Also I love helping people develop and acknowledge their own body awareness through receiving regular massage.
Why did you become a Masseur?
To be able to connect with beautiful men who want to connect back with me.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Hardly ever, but I do love those road trips when they happen!
I'm definitely more of a homebody type.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I'm still very young and new to this kind of work. I began to study and practice massage in 2012 and have been giving work consistently since, I hope and plan to do so long term. I think that both giving as well as receiving massage can be a drug of sorts if you let it.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes! You have to give yourself praise and acknowledge that you can do something well, especially if it's giving massage!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a big music nerd I love to listen to and collect vinyl and cd's! I'm very much a home body but I do enjoy the outdoors too, I like to hike trails when it's warm out, yoga, Pilates, free weights and live music, concerts oh yyyeah!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get good training, do research and go to a massage school that you like, especially if you want to work long term. Don't be afraid to try, don't hesitate.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Been practicing the art of massage for almost four years, when I hit ten years I'm definitely going to celebrate!!! I plan on offering massage long term.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want my client's to feel that natural high from increased circulation in their body. I wish for them to feel overtly relaxed, calm & quiet in both their mind and body.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think any kind of working and/or life experience is necessary to be successful in life and in any field really.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I will never cut your session time short or try to rip guys off, in fact sometimes depending on the day & client, I may give extra time!
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I've read a lot of massage ads over the years and one thing I've noticed several guys will write is that their massage experience is "the best" you'll ever have guaranteed, or something like that. I'm not knocking those guys, nor do I believe in that, I believe that everyone has something to offer, so please feel free to book a session with me today, and experience for yourself what I have to offer you.
