Jarrods_NudeRubs's Massage Interview
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would want someone who contacts me for a massage to feel like they truly received a complete experience. I can't think of a better way to end a session than to satisfy that urge to create an erotic energy.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes, and no. It depends what the masseur is looking to accomplish, and what their clients are seeking. Do they specialize in clients with certain physical challenges? Does their massage seek to alleviate certain stresses and fatigues? Or do they simply wish to incorporate a relaxing massage into an intimate experience that leads to high energy sensual fun? If you're like me, then the latter doesn't require extensive training. I studied massage and also completed courses on the anatomy of muscles. Therefore, I know enough to be proficient, at the same time I don't focus the clients entire time solely on massage.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I've been doing tours across the country for over 10 years, but I usually stayed home for a few weeks, then traveled for a week or 2. Though I am a "homebody" at heart, I realize I have to travel to expand my fan base. And that I enjoy because I understand people's lives and interest locally change. However, I prefer to keep a steady schedule. At one point when I was starting out, I stayed in the same town for about 7 months. Though I met some cool clients both young and mature, I just wasn't happy with what I was making because I don't take high volumes of clients. I'm not a "how many clients can I fit in today" type masseur. That's why you won't see me offering $40 or $50 massages (no disrespect to any who do that, but as I said...it depends what level of volume one wishes to take). Each client to me deserves their indivdual preparation time beforehand. That's why as I said before, I'm not just a masseur....I'm a relaxation expert. This often involves traveling and meting new people.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I can tell some things about myself in the way I would like for clients to introduce themselves to me: Hi, I’m Jarrod. 32, 6’2, 205. I would like to enjoy a massage session in (City I’m located in).
One thing clients should know about me: I take your time seriously and would never book an appointment that I could not take on. I ask my clients as well to ensure before contacting, they have sorted out any possible or unexpected events that may come up which could affect keeping the session arranged.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I often say, “I’ve had many 1st clients” lol. Sometimes my 1st client may have been my first actual client ever, my first client from a particular website, or my first client in a certain city.
To me, every new client I meet is a 1st client. Each interaction is a new beginning. “There’s a 1st time for everything” really is a true saying lol.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It can be. When you’re so used to making people feel good, you are eager to keep it going each day. I would certainly miss the pleasure and relaxation I give out if I were to take some time off.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Success may be defined by an individuals perspective and goals. In my case, I feel successful but always look for ways to improve or modify things for a better experience for me and my clients.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
My hobbies are always stark in contrast to my Massage “hobby” so to speak (though this actually is my full time hobby) I am mechanically 🚘 🧰 inclined, I have a green thumb 🌺 🌱, enjoy running 🏃🏽 and exercise 💪🏾, and with all that...I enjoy going to the small and shopping, going out to exciting nightlife venues, theme parks, beach, fine wine dates, etc.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Freedom and the idea of knowing I can provide a level of service that’ll be different from what one may get in a public massage setting.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Pace yourself. Be fresh and ready for the next client. Don’t get pressured to compete so heavily on rates that you lower your income or price yourself out of the market. Stick to the rates you’re comfortable with, and the clients you want will come regardless.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I think we all have different ways of standing out. I appreciate every masseur on the site who is out here getting it, and working hard to maintain and build their client base. I think that’s what makes clients want us, we all are going to have something different to bring to the table. It’s not about being better than the other or different from the rest.
In my case, I try to create what I feel would be a unique environment each time. Massages can be “boring” without the right amount of entertainment. I may have porn on, I may have music going, candles burning, and other perks just to keep me and the client entertained, comfortable and relaxed.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
It’s actually been 11 years as of 2019. Wow, I would have never thought. Time flies!
At this point, I can’t reveal how long I’d like to continue...but, I feel in this current era of politics, there has been a shift in the overall level of respect towards those of us in business. I hope this changes going into 2020, because I miss the days when clients were more likely to keep their appointments, and only contact when they were intent on making arrangements.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Happy. Relieved. Turned On. Accomplished. Satisfied...Simply Memorable.
