Kindred's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was this guy who wanted to try out a massage when I was just starting massage school, like a willing test dummy. He didn't help too much because he said it all just felt great haha, but he didn't ask for deeper pressure which I think is how I ended up leaning towards a softer more Swedish style with my massage. Now the first time I gave someone a massage and they pushed me towards being a masseur, the things they pointed out was my natural habit to approach softly their muscles, and how warm my hands felt. He really made me feel like I had an intuitive feel for my massage and really helped me to move towards that career. I'll always be very grateful for that inspiration.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
There is a nice pace and tempo to this work style that I would probably miss a lot. It keeps you busy, but for only certain hours of the days, so you end up with good free time giving you time for your hobbies and shows and such. The work is active, and I greatly like it contributing towards my fitness goals, and I also love getting to see various parts of the cities where I end up working at: the lofts, town homes, suburbs, skylines and hotels.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
As of now, I very much prefer to do outcalls and travel around. I'm trying to hit up more cities and get around more overall so I see more of everything. It's nice to be able to do like a mini vacation but also get some work and income in as well to make it that much more affordable.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm definitely a gaymer, I try to keep up and play the latest games, I'm very adamant of certain game series. I have a dog, love him to bits and gladly give him so much of my time. I like to do arts and crafts, certain projects will come up and I like learning and adapting to accomplish them. I'm getting more into camping and doing stuff like ren fair.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Hmm, I kinda like it a lot when clients talk to me about fitness. It's always nice getting an outside or alternative input about workouts, diets, exercises and seeing what has worked for who. I hardly mind clients sizing me up and love getting inspirational support or critiques to help me move forward with my physique. A muscle squeeze here and there isn't out of line either haha, love my body being appreciated as I make my way there.
