Lino's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I met this handsome, built man who needed me to work on his sore muscles, something I enjoy doing. Before I realized it, I had been working on his body for two hours. I had been massaged many times while playing soccer and I am familiar with touching and feeling the healing powers of a strong touch.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I was named one of the best masseurs of NYC by Allure magazine. I am very fortunate in attracting great clients who turned into familiar faces. As the connection grows, we get to discover places in our bodies we didn't realized needed attention.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like them to feel happy and relax.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I love touching the body and I believe feeling each other can be healing or the masseur and the person receiving the massage.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes! I love giving massages as I call it
“ healing the body”
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to work out, hiking, shopping, being at the beach, swimming, eating, reading, travel, and having a good time. Maybe I am guilty of being hedonistic!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
To learn to listen with their hands and touch with care.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I love what I do and I have spent years of studying different ways to heal the body alternatively, through sound, touch, and being present. I excel in providing a quality massage that hopefully turns into a memorable experience. I would advice masseurs to listen with their hands, tailor each unique experience, and never pretend to do anything but satisfy the client's requests.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been in the world of alternative healing my whole life. I am an Astrologer and a healer. I will continue learning and practicing as long as I am capable.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Having the touch is a unique gift. Studying will further your knowledge and will help improve your technique.
Practicing will make you a master!!!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Happy, relaxed and grateful.
