Lovetorelaxyou's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I started off on my friend because he had back problems and always complaining about his back so I worked his muscles for a hr a day for week and he felt 100% better after the session so I decided at that point that it was cheap enough for the schooling and enrolled in it and 6 months later I got my licences and now National certification's
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes I would. I got out of it for a bit after college because I started a full time job and I missed working with my hands and making people feel relaxed. Hence why I have been doing massages again full time in my home studios
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. I am busy most every day with any where from 7 or 10 clients a day. I am not complaining, I enjoy working with my clients very much as I feel that they enjoy me as well.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
First and far-most I am a people person. I enjoy meeting new people and offering my relaxing services. I have been know to go up to someone in the bar or at friends houses and give them a neck massage
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like them to feel total refresh and relaxed. When they get off the table and try to stand they have week legs from a very good massage
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy fishing first when I get time to myself. I also enjoy camping in the great outdoors. Nothing feels better ( than my massages ) than being out in the fresh air and riding horses or hooking a good fish.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I enjoy the body. I think the body is a piece of art. I enjoy feeling a nice warm body under my strong hands and how refreshing a nice long hard or soft a massage can feel.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Enjoy what your doing and love to do what your doing, Everyone have their own needs when they are on the table. Get to know your clientele and whats they like so you can build up a very good clientele as I have through the yrs. Also the most important thing set your hrs and remember they can be long and take care of your hands they are your livelihood
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
cant really say we all are good at certain things we do and each have our own techniques. We are all different and many masseurs are great I am sure, but I put my heart and soul into pleasing each client I see.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Well I started when I started college and that's how I put myself through college and that was 25 yrs ago
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I do travel and love to travel and visit my clients in their home so that way they can stay relaxed after the massage and not have to drive back with all the traffic and get re-stressed but I prefer to have in calls. I have a studio in my home that is relaxing. I have the soothing music and candles and very relaxing atmosphere
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
yes and no. I learned many yrs ago but I have also learned new ways through the years. The best teaching I got has been through my clients by letting me know how and what they like
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
total relaxed till their next massage session
