MassageByJC's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Nov 30, 2021
- Most certainly! Quite fondly
- I've been doing massage for 12+ years, and am hoping to continue for at least a few more!
- I want them to feel relaxed, de-stressed, and happy with their session. I know I can't be everyones dream massage therapist, but I hope I leave a positive impression on each and every client.
- At this point, I have to say yes. There has been challenges along the way, but I powered through those obstacles, and I love what I do.
- I love traveling. I don't get to do it often enough, but when I do, I love going exploring and learning new things about other cultures.
- Goto school, and IF and only IF you love it, then follow your dreams. It's not as easy as everyone thinks. It is a physically demanding job, but worth the reward of knowing you help people feel better.
- I love what I do! Yes, eventually the body will wear out and I won't be able to do massages anymore, and yes, I will miss it, and will miss my clients.
- I love the great outdoors, hitting up flea markets, finding unique and cool items that speak to me. Anything water related! I love being near the water, wether it is an ocean, lake, river, creek, etc... I enjoy reading, some good history based tv shows, and spending time with my pups and family.
- Each and every therapist is different. You could get 100 massages, and no two are the same. It boils down to chemistry between the therapist and client, and willingness of the therapist to ensure the client is relaxed and comfortable in order to get the most out of the massage. That is my number one priority with all clients. If during the massage there is something you particularly like or don't, speak up, I have been told I am good at what I do, but can't read minds!
- I am very laid back and causal. Ask me anything, I will more than likely give you an answer! The only dumb questions are questions that aren't asked!
- This question is funny to me, I never considered being a massage therapist... until I went to school for skin care... everyone kept telling me I had great hands and that I should try massage.. eventually I caved in and fell in love with it!
- I want them to be relaxed, and confident that they received a GREAT massage. It always helps to hear it when they get off the table and to see them do the "ah... I feel better wiggle"
- With experience, comes the knowledge of how the body works, and the ability to detect issues within the body to help correct those issues, so I would say yes, experience is definitely a plus!
