RichardGourley's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I had received massages and loved them when I could afford them, but on a men's retreat in the Catskills over 20 years ago we were to massage each other. As my partner was ill, I got to be massaged by and then massage the retreat's leader, a very hot and sensual man. I could not have had a more perfect male body to first massage. I've never forgotten the experience.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
You bet. Were I unable to massage as I do now I would alter my routine to continue or find some other modality to continue to serve men.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes! I feel I am a well experienced and successful Masseur.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Mature gay male who loves sensuality, can be Dominant and who will treat each client as his lover if they relax and open up.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I expect all clients to leave physically, mentally and spiritually in a far better place as well as feeling great!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
As we are a small B&B in addition to my Massage Therapy practice, I am involved in keeping a fairly large home clean, its gardens neat and serving guests. Otherwise I enjoy getting away now and again for a couple days for some good R&R. Periodic m2m connections are enjoyed as well.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have always enjoyed being massaged but many years ago I was at a men's retreat and got to massage another man and a hot man to boot. I was hooked. Massaging is different than receiving a massage but can be as rewarding.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
If you desire to massage, first take an adult education massage course, or come to me, and learn the basics to create your own massage, then massage men after hours for free or small fee to see if you enjoy massaging over time. Lastly, so you can officially make $$ and be licensed, take an accredited course in massage and then get licensed.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I stand out as I am mature, deeply experienced in both traditional massage and erotic massage, massage my clients very close and nurturing and not **** up with physical/sexual issues. All men are welcome to my table and will be loved as they are massaged.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I began my massage career in 1995 and intend to massage until death or unable to massage, but I would look to alter my massage to others if ever confronted with some physical/health issue.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I enjoy travel but usually I take short trips of a few days just to get away and have fun. I never massage when I travel, but I do treat myself to massage.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
The simple answer is no. A newly, little experienced masseur can provide a super massage, but that same masseur will be an even better practitioner and massage therapist with time and experience.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I hope all clients leave me feeling great, relaxed, freer of tension/stress and eager to return as soon as possible for another massage. :-)
