RustyStevens's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes. I was slightly anxious
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It is addictive. People come in all shapes/sizes and with various personalities so it’s very diverse. I would definitely miss the interaction
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes I do. Other masseurs have praised my technique which is largely derived from my years of bodybuilding and personal training which required me to become expert on anatomy, physiology, skeletal system etc.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Although I have a fairly large public image I enjoy quiet time at home with my dogs and working in my yard
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed, stress free, revived and satisfied
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I have many hobbies and interests but some of the more prominent ones are Landscaping/gardening, bodybuilding, and enjoying my dogs
Why did you become a Masseur?
To make $$ of course but also the Flexible schedule, ability to work from home and ability to meet new and interesting people
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get some formal training, study various techniques then develop your own, and talk to other masseurs in your market area......find your niche
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Maturity, responsibility, and I give a great sensual/erotic massage. Additionally, I am an adult entertainer and personal trainer with a bodybuilding background.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been doing massage for 90 days now. I got into this partially because you never really have to retire so my future plans are open as long as I enjoy it and remain healthy.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
More of a homebody these days although I used to travel extensively. I still enjoy trips to various spots in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee where I have connections.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I don’t think so although you do need to study technique and you do need a good understanding of anatomy, muscles, muscle groups and how they function and interact with the skeletal system.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed, stress free, invigorated and that perhaps they have had a fantasy fulfilled
