SwedishMassage's Massage Interview
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I think connection with the person is very important. Usually clients can feel how much you are connected to them mentally and physically just by touching them. To do massage is a hard job. I don't think it is an 8 hour/day job. 8 hours/a day doing massages is a lot and painful.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I find being successful in client's satisfaction. When they are happy and satisfied with the massage,I consider myself as successful.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I think the quality of service that I offer with the money that I receive match. I have had clients that complained about other masseurs that they are not competent. Their place was smelly and not clean. Their dog was under the massage table during the massage, etc.
I think the most important thing that distinguishes me from other masseurs is , I place myself in the client's position to see what the expectations are ,and how should I correct myself.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I should say I am addicted to travelling. I think the human lifespan is short if we compare it to some animals for example turtles which is up to 350 years.
I think life is shorter than most of us think. My passion is to travel. I have visited 25 countries so far.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been doing massages for 8 years. I think I will continue it as long as I can.
I should say it is relaxing for me too. The music, the environment, candles, etc.
I enjoy doing massages but I think it is a hard job too. I feel pain on my hands after 2 massages a day.
