TantricMaster's Massage Interview
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I have been a massage therapist for over 15 years. As long as I have been a masseur, I have been successful at providing a quality sensual massage to everyone who comes to see me.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I don't remember my first client, but I remember my first massage. It was so great it left a lasting impression on me. Years later, when I decided to change careers, my memory of that first massage helped me decide to be a massage therapist.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Performing every massage both uses and creates energy. I feel invigorated on days that I work.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am a very nice, friendly guy. You can tell me anything and you will not be judged. I am empathetic, so I sense a lot of what you are feeling. These gifts help me treat you better.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
My favorite response is 'that is the best massage I have ever had'. I can only hope that my guests feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I attend Tantra workshops, tend to my garden, and love my cats. I go to the gym almost every morning.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I love the feeling of receiving a massage so much, I wanted to do that for other people.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Take a few private lessons with a masseur to see if you really like it. If you do go to a state licensed massage school, get licensed, and do it right.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I went to school twice because Florida did not accept anything from Pennsylvania. I have attended several workshops at Wildwood, the mountain retreat where Body Electric does many of its events. This amounts to a lot of good training that I use in every session.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a therapist for about 15 years. I don't have any plans of stopping right now.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I get all the training I can get. I also take Tantra workshops from time to time.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I hope that my guests feel great about choosing me as their masseur and that they have received an excellent service for a good rate.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I used to travel a lot. In one year, I went to Vancouver to ski, Amsterdam to compete in the Gay Games, Wildwood for a Body Electric workshop, and a long weekend in P-town. Now, I am content where I am. I love Wilton Manors where every day is a vacation.
