Waldo just gave me one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had. If you need deep work he's your guy and I highly recommend him. I felt like I was walking on a cloud after the massage. Excellent job, and I will be back.

The massage I received from Waldo was transformational. I have chronic pain and muscle tension brought on by C-PTSD and worsened by sitting at a desk all day and multiple sclerosis. Waldo did in one session what five months of twice weekly PT has been unable to accomplish. I am finally feeling safe in my body after 30+ years of tension and pain. Don't get me wrong, the massage will be intense. But it's good pain. I cannot wait until my next session. Plus they have an adorable pup.
Isaac was quick to accommodate an appointment.
His "studio" is a filthy room in a shared rowhouse without real privacy. Isaac's technique may suit others, but I personally derived no benefit from him digging his fingers (and fingernails) into my flesh and slowly moving them without any understanding of human anatomy. He managed to spend lots of time "massaging" bones and other structures meant to be left alone. My only request was that he work on my shoulders. Unfortunately he did, and I was more uncomfortable after his "therapy" than before.
Have had several massages with Isaac he has always been professional. Attentive and caring. I have never experienced anything but a clean studio. The reviews that have been left are not accurate. I can assure. Haven’t seen him for a little bit but he has always been exceptional.
He is a good masseur but his studio stinks so bad. It smells like sweat. He doesn’t talk to you and he doesn’t make you feel comfortable. I’m totally disappointed.
You call me on the phone begging for a massage and I tell you I can see you tomorrow because it's late right now, but you insist you have to come right now because you're in pain. I've never heard someone so desperate. I agreed to see you. Hate the idea of not helping someone who is hurting, even if he's rude.
You show up, unshowered (maybe it was your sweat you were smelling??), tell me where your back hurts and plop on the table as if I'm a massage robot. Whatever. I don't need to chit chat. Seemed like you didn't need it either.
Halfway through, you "double check" to make sure you're getting a happy ending. I assure you that you are certainly NOT because I don't do that. You go silent for another couple minutes, and then you abruptly say "That's enough," get up, get dressed, pay me and say, "You're not getting a good review for this."
So, great. Thanks for paying and I guess thanks for the 5 stars. Don't call again, please.
Although Isaac is a very technicallly proficient masseur, he lacks acceptable social skills, professional courtesy and was so shy he was hardly able to make eye contact. Also the venue was cluttered, stale smelling, unkempt and uninviting.
Hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to review your session. Considering I was out of the country until yesterday, I don't know if you have the right person. Moreover, that doesn't sound like me or my studio, so I'm pretty confused.
All the best,
Isaac
Isaac turned out to be a really nice and talented CMT. I had a 90 minute appointment with him and it was done with a nice amount of pressure and long very slow strokes. Isaac was also really great to talk with, and put me at ease with trying a new therapist. I would definitely recommend him.
