Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client! I was a young 23 year old novice just starting out wanting to rub straight guys for free. (so I could just see and touch their bodies). I was a Huge Creep...haha
I met Bauer. Tall, intensely handsome, quiet, bearded hockey player who loved to let me play with his hairy musky body. He would come regularly and I learned about his work and his family. He was so kind, respectful, and generous. It had eventually ran its course naturally and we stopped visiting but I figured "Wow... how do I find more of that.." and here I am meeting individual people with unique characteristics that make them special! Each experience is exciting like this one but totally different! Thanks fellas.. for being human!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Definitely! I will stop massaging when people stop coming.. It seems to be at the top of my mind often. How can I learn more, be more detailed, offer more specifics. I really love massage. It ticks all the right boxes for me.. It is sensual, kinky, PLAYFUL, erotic.. I love connecting with accomplished strangers, I love showing people new sensations on their bodies, and I LOVE providing relief, via giving moans and groans to sore folks. I would deeply miss my masseur days.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yup. It has taken me a lot of time and experience to come to the person I am now! "The proof is in the pudding" folks say and I have made a life out of my massage. Good thing for both of us that I am always seeking to find enjoyment in any activity I do so I genuinely like to have fun in my sessions. I think folks feel that.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm an adventurer, Chaotic Good, mischievous but always kind, Strong with boundaries but also flexible and understanding. I am empathetic with conversation and honesty and I truly don't care about what you look like or where you come from. I only ask that you talk with me and treat me with respect. I offer a really neat experience but it requires clear communication and a little trust on both sides ;)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want you to leave me feeling smiley, satisfied, saturated, stimulated, and relieved.... that it was a worthy experience, That you were heard in what you wanted in the beginning, that I made you feel safe and secure and comfortable enough to come back.
**I also want you to feel welcomed and heard before you come! It is important for me to set a tone before you come so there is as little stress as possible, life is seriously too short to not have all the info or to be in a huge rush.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Hiker, fisherman, 4x4'er extraordinaire. I see mountain peaks and valleys, I find hot springs, I camp with my Great Dane who you will likely meet, I keep busy to stay out of trouble.. but always seem to find the right amount ;)
I collect rare plants, and love old artifacts with a story-- especially antique gifts. I dream of being a curator one day with a life full of stories and memories.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Initially because it was fun, ***y, and primal. I'm now drawn to it because it fits a type of healing I can offer.. I also get to see people in the most vulnerable way! Sometimes you can tell me things you can't tell anyone else and I'm very much here for that side of you. It is a great way to connect in a deep meaningful way for a short time and then to continue on with your life as you were with no hassle or "strings" as they say hehe.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
take your time, body language is everything, slow the **** down... and ask for help! I definitely didn't learn everything I know all on my own.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am certainly not better than anyone I come across.. I strive to offer something that is simply unique and different. Country boy warmth and realness with business class detail and etiquette.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
10 years now! Until folks stop asking me to rub them down!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel Canada a lot. I am fearless in moving around and setting up in a new city for a while! I always seem to find good folks wherever I go! I love travelling across Canada and will be doing lots more travel around the world. There are tons of places I want to see and cultures I want to experience. Maybe this is my only reason for living!
I do spend a lot of time at home while I'm in massage-mode. My home is usually a place full of plants (tastefully) and neat things to look at and talk about.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes, not necessarily school, but training needs to happen, discipline needs to happen, organization needs to happen. I think most importantly you have to learn who you can serve and who you cannot!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want you to feel moved, like you learned something new, maybe gained a new perspective or maybe you have a great time keeping it super simple and getting a really good physical release with no real talk at all!
