humantouch's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember giving my gay mentor massages, and he would give me feedback on each little adjustment or stroke I was doing. I'll never forget how amazing it felt to know I was helping someone feel good and relax.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely! I thrive on personal connection, and touch is so healthy and healing. I wouldn't want to give it up for anything.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Trainings, workshops, and mentorship is essential. But ultimately it is the masseur who must continually sharpen their skills and develop a strong technique by listening to the clients' bodies. It is an ongoing process, and I believe one should always keep learning.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I love seeing the look on their face as a client gets off the table - droopy, blissful, and rejuvenated (no cliché, I swear!). I love when a client says, "I feel more life myself, and the stress is gone."
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to do yoga, play tennis, go on hikes, meditate, hang out with friends... you know, the usual. ;)
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Well, honestly I am told that my massage delivers. They feel rejuvenated, relaxed, and satisfied in all ways. I consider success to be about having integrity in the work you do, not just how much money you make.
