moroccantouch's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was very interesting. I was very nervous because the gentleman was in his 70's. I think I was more afraid of hurting him or putting too much pressure. I got the call at 6 pm it was in Orange County. It took me almost 2 hours to get there because of traffic. But the gentleman was patient and he didn't mind the wait. When I arrived I was surprised because not only was he older but he was very built like he was a bodybuilder that didn't stop building muscle. I started with a simple warm-up stretching his body and then I went into shiatsu and deep tissue finally I began energy meridian techniques that I learned in my travels abroad and what was a 60 min massage turned into a 2 hour one. My hands were completely done I didn't think I had it in me but I didn't want to stop because I wanted the job to be done right. It wasn't until the 2-hour mark that he told me that it was enough for now and he looked forward to my visit next week. I won't say how much he paid me but I will say I wasn't charging what I do now back then and on top of the base fee he gave me a tip that was out of this world especially for a first-timer. And I have been treating him ever since.
