What a great experience! Frankly, I did not think that was going to be the opening line of this review. Benjamin and I had some minor bumps in the road getting a hold of one another and then some further issues with scheduling my massage. But with a bit of patience it all worked out. And I am so grateful that it did.
Massage and I have been close friends for over twenty years. I can honestly say that massage might well have saved my life, allowing me to relieve myself of stress, lowering my blood pressure and generally improving my general health and outlook.
In those twenty years I have benefited from the skilled work performed by multiple masseurs and masseuses. And I can honestly say that I think Benjamin stands head and shoulders above them all. I say that without qualification or reservation.
Benjamin is the first massage therapist who offered a suggestion that I engage in leg stretching exercises, noting that my right and left side had quite dissimilar ranges of motion. This is a condition that no doubt stems from 262 sports parachute jumps I made in my younger days when the chutes we used impacted the landing jumper with the equivalent force of jumping out of a second story window.
But beside the suggestion, I found Benjamin to be extremely bright and intuitive about knowing what work I needed most and directed himself to addressing that. My 90 minute massage flew by. And if it were not for the fact that he had another client booked, I would readily have gone another half hour.
So I am doing the next best thing. I am checking my calendar and looking for a choice of dates when we can book Massage #2. I suspect it will be the second of many.
