stonerocks's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It is really a bond of trust that is created between you and the client and the act of allowing another person to touch you in such an attentive manner and relinquishing his control to you is quite intimate.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do consider myself a successful Masseur by the number of repeat clients that I had while practicing in Europe. I love what I do and this is evident in the way that I handle my clients.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I speak fluent german. I am a sci fi junkie and I do not have any racial hangups
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I can not compare myself to the other guys in this way because I do not know them and they do not know me. I can only speak from my perspective. I am real. What you see...or read is basically who I am. I do not do anything that I do not want to do or meet up with someone just because. There has to be a genuine mutual interest. Otherwise, it is just a hustle.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I have traveled quite a bit. I love to travel and experience new and different cultures. While in europe, I have traveled to many european countries. But eventhough I like to travel, I also can enjoy being at home...but not for long. :-)
Why did you become a Masseur?
I am a contact person. I love to touch and be touched. Being a Masseur allows me to experience this desire on a fairly frequent basis.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I love to practice on my guitar, paint, watch foreign programs and learn new languages.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do remember my first client because it was such an awkward experience. I was so nervous and my massaging was anything but confident. I apologized profusely to my client for my performance. I guess he felt really sorry for me because he gave me a very good tip in spite of everything. lol..I try not to think about that experience..awkward, awkward, awkward! But now I am on top of my game!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I really value delivering quality, satisfying service. I want my client to feel as if their money was well spent@!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
My advice to someone who wants to be a Masseur is to always stay on top of your game. Practice, practice practice. Also you must also always exercise professionalism. You must also be personable with your client and remember that there are many others they could have chosen. But they chose you.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a Masseur for 4 years now. I will continue for as long as I still enjoy what I do.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Extensive training is an important aspect of being a successful Masseur. But even more than that, a pleasant disposition and likable personality will take you far!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I like my clients to feel refreshed and that their money was well spent.
