GentleJoey's Massage Interview
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I would consider myself a successful masseur, yes. I've been doing it for several years and have found my technique and my comfort increasing every year. I also tend to charge more than many masseurs in the area and my clients often mention how the quality matches the cost. I never tend to have disappointed clients, and that's my main measure of success.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I find that I bring an element of real connection and ease. I bring no judgments to the table and really help people relax into who they are, and therefore really relax into their bodies. I am one of many technically skilled and strong masseurs, but rarely is that blended with such a comfortable and connective environment. I'd say that's what has me stand out.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want clients to feel extremely relaxed and satisfied. I'm here to pamper them, and ideally I like them to feel taken care of.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel often, and lately have been traveling continuously. I occasionally make special trips just for work if a nice enough offer is presented, but travel on my own all over, currently throughout Europe.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to train in acrobatics, play music, read, drink tea, and dance. I find a lot of joy in lots of movement and lots of stillness. I also think and live very creatively, so I'm always seeking new creative endeavours.
