The entire massage was relaxing from the light touch at the beginning until the firm pressure to work out the kinks towards the end of our time. You dont need to go to Bali or Bora for a heavenly massage because we have Jake in Miami who provides a massage equal to any masseur in the world...not just on this site. For the last month I have not only moved here but I have been working on an intense project at work. I already have problems in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar area from a severe car accident in which my neck was broken but the move and this current project has put me on the edge. Lately, I have been tense and intense. I needed some release and I was a border line insomniac. I reviewed the resumes and Jake's was the one that captured my attention. He was in Nyc but luckily he was coming home and he worked me into his schedule for Sunday.

Conversely, he is a very good communicator. Not only does he check in on you; he uses wit, charm, and compassion
so that you just dont feel like just a number or you are just another massage. He takes his job seriously and he is serious about your mental and physical welfare.This is not just a mechanical massage. Your mind, body, and soul starts to float as he works his way on your flesh inch by inch. I face pain on a daily basis and even with the assistance of pain medicine provided by my neurologist. But i needed something more. Jake's orthopedic hands provided another layer of release like it was a tonic. I have not been sleeping but to show you the impact he had on me, I had fallen a sleep in the Uber ride home and the driver shared I had even snored.I even noticed on my starched white shirt there was some drool. Who needs valium...lol. What makes this even more serendipitous is that Jake also has clients in Nyc and I live there six months out of the year. The cherry on the sundae is he offers a 4 hands massage. For me Sunday was a win,win.

Everything about my experience with Jake was fantastic. It was easy to book with him. He stayed at a very nice hotel. I was greeted with him wearing a towel. He explained his massage technique and also wanted to know how long I would like to be on my stomach, back, etc. Throughout the massage he asked to make sure if I was comfortable and if the pressure was ok (I am a big guy and like it deep). I loved his technique. At times it was like I was getting a four handed massage!

Here are ten reasons why I appreciated him: He is a graduate of a massage school; he brings a massage table when he travels; he stayed at a nice hotel in central Madison; he offers a 45 minute massage which is in my price range; he was willing to make the appointment via email because I am not able to text; he offered a couple options for the massage; he heard and honored a couple requests I made; he did not ask personal questions like my age, line of work, etc.; ending with a warm towel was a nice touch; and we ended with a warm hug. I look forward to seeing Jake again when he returns to Madison.

I booked a massage with Jake while in Minneapolis. Nice guy, and the massage was good. Nice pressure and comfortable table and settings. When I get a massage I like to totally unwind, and lose myself for the hour. During the massage... there were several pauses, where maybe a minute passed, and nothing was happening. When this happened... I looked up from the table and realized Jake was texting on his phone. This happened 3 or 4 times during the 60 min massage. To be honest, it was a total turnoff for me and made me anxious. If I book an hour with a massage therapist, I would hope that I would have his devote attention for the 60 mins while I'm on the table. Those long pauses while he was texting felt like a eternity. It ruined the experience for me, which is a shame, because the massage was good. Anyhow... not the best experience for me personally. I gave him 4 stars instead of 3 because when he was actually massaging me... I enjoyed it, but those long pauses while texting was a disappointment for me. I would hope a massage therapist could forget about his phone for an hour while working with a client.
