MSPSTUD's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do remember my first client. I decided after nearly 2 decades in advertising/marketing to hang up my suit & tie for a better, and more fun, way to serve my clients. Nervous at first, I began to relax quickly when I realized making people feel good physically makes me feel good.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would definitely miss them. I love body contact, making people feel good and relieving stress.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
While not professionally trained, at all, I do think I'm successful as I listen to what clients want and I deliver. I focus on problem areas until they are no longer a problem. Being an aggressive top with big hands helps.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I like to take control behind closed doors, but I really am a laid back, chill guy who just loves meeting people and having fun.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Like they got more than they paid for, and they want even more!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I don't think so. I was not experienced or trained. I think you do need to listen and care about the client, and you need strong hands to work hard & deep.
