MassageMike's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do remember my first client - I decided to be a massure due to the fact that i appreciate and like the male body, and I enjoy touching a man and making a man feel totally relaxed and free of tension and knots.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I never plan on stopping massages = its just as relaxing for me, as it is for my clients.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes i do, I have some amazing regulars, who appreciate my touch and always leave with less tension, relaxation and totally calm.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm drama free / I lead a calm lifestyle and I have a relaxing atmosphere, and my goal is to put my clients in that same reception, cool, calm and collected.
Energy passes, so I give off the best and most positive energy possible, and I appreciate it when it's returned =)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Amazing, and 110% better than when they walk in =)
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I have many - but i love the water !
Why did you become a Masseur?
its a profession that GIVES, its not an 'all about me' professions
you're giving relaxation and calm to people who are in need of letting go of their stresses
i'm a giving person, and this is what I love to do
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
know what you're doing, too many people are 'masseurs' who have no idea what a massage is, and they ruin the profession
I have some clients who are hesitant to get a massage due to bad past experiences
I'm NEVER a bad unprofessional experience, i'm the pro real deal =)
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I know what I'm doing, I'm a genuine kind, caring person, who's not staring at a clock, and i do respect the needs of my clients with sincerity, and I educated my clients in good lifestyle health
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
5 years, and going =)
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
70/30 split, most clients come to me
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
YES !
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
as I have many out of town clients, they always wish they could take me with them because they don't know anyone back 'home' who can do what I do
thats makes me feel awesome
I want clients to leave wanting to come back !
