MattHSF's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a masseur because I wanted to help people and make people feel good. I started out in sports massage with sports teams but gradually switched over to clients in my own home because I wanted a wider range of clients. Through the process I learned how important and healing personal touch can be.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
While I don't think it is completely necessary I certainly went through extensive training with my license and working with physical therapists to learn how to deliver a well-rounded massage.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to go to the gym, play with my dog, and play video games and board games with friends. I'm a big nerd and I love to be active.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want people to leave feeling relaxed and like they got their moneys worth. My goal is to give you exactly what you are seeking and help you leave as happy and content as possible.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am very nice and relaxed. I was born and raised in New Zealand and they say that we are the nicest people on the planet.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a Masseur for 11 years now and I have no intention of stopping any time soon.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel to other places at least 3 or 4 times a year. I love to find excuses to explore new places. When I am in my home town I tend to stay at home a lot to try and balance out.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I often joke that I want my clients to feel like a relaxed noodle after everything is over.
