Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes. It was in Mexico. When I was taking classes about massage for sport. He was a soccer player who asked me for a massage. I told him that i didn't have a lot of experience but he loved my technique and he told me that I have healing hands. I was very happy!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, I think that more than addictive its a way of energy exchange! I have my own masseur
that charges my energy. I think that to give energy and receive energy could be very relaxing and soul nourishing.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes I do, I am constantly trying to perfect my craft. I am also currently expanding my knowledge by studying Reiki.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a poliglot. I am fuent in Spanish, English, French, Italian & Catalan. I studied English in Canada and have lived in México ( 3 cities), Barcelona, London and Rome.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I think that the massage is a way to heal in terms of energy. I try to make a unique experience with each client, trying to give with the massage the energy that the client needs to heal his body.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to workout!! I used to be runway model. I like TRX, hiking, running, swimming. I love culture and art too!! I'm studying acting in my free time and i go to casting a sometimes too.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Well relaxed, happy, better. I always ask them if they need aditional massage in any specific part. I try to make the best experience for the client.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Well!! I like to have my own time. And I love to be able to help people to feel better!! My father was a doctor and he wanted me to be a doctor, but I'm more a traveler and I didn't like blood. With the time I find out that I have a special gift with my hands that I have to use, so I started to study from holistic mesoamerican massage to modern spa techniques.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Well study not only for the certification. I would say that massage is super interesting in terms of energy and I can give you facts of quantic energy.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been masseur for 10 years about!! I think all my life. I want to be expert in reiki and energy
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel a lot. My family is in Mexico and I have family too in Spain. My life now here in Houston. I love to travel! I would love to go to Tibet and be with all those monks at least one week and learn other ways of healing and living.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I would say that the practice is super important. Each time you learn more and more. And the continuos training is super important..
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed, happy. When a client tells me is the Best massage I had ever, I know that i did a good job!! That's make me happy
