YourfriendDrew's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was before I went to massage school. We met at a bathhouse in the Castro and I massaged him on one of the tables there. I had no clue what I was doing; I was so tired from poor massage technique, but it was really hot experience as well.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy cooking, gardening, swimming learning new skills and educating myself (I am always learning something). I like to travel when I can afford it. I also enjoy spending time in community and hanging out with my friends. It doesn’t matter so much what we do, I just enjoy being around people.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I started out as a personal trainer because I found enjoyment in helping others and have an interest in health. I kept learning new things and getting certifications for modalities in the field of physical wellness… Going to massage school seemed like the natural next step. So I created a profile and did some massages to try it out before I committed to school. I still love it.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think a lot of guys get by on looks and sometimes clients are more interested in that which is great. I am successful because I have formal schooling, 10 years of experience, and I mix that with some sensuality and fun. For me it’s all about balancing the therapeutic aspects with the more sensual aspects to give an all around great experience.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am currently in school studying psychology and I love it!
