tantricdad's Massage Interview
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do consider myself a successful Masseur because of the positive feedback I get from my clients. I also continue to build regular clientele in Provincetown.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want my clients to feel relaxed and ready to face their next challenge. I really love it when the client is "blown away" by the massage.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I feel that I am an intuitive masseur. Every massage is a little bit different according to the needs of and the connection with each client.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel whenever possible. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing unique destinations.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I began by massaging friends on the beach and was convinced by them to make a study of it and share my touch with others.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a professional masseur for 10 years. I hope to continue for a few more years.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe a masseur can gain from experience but nothing can replace having a connection with the client and being sensitive to their needs.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I love it when they are blown away by the experience. :)
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Make sure you get some good training and learn the muscle structure of the body.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I used to massage friends on the naked beaches of Cape Cod and Florida and they said I had a really great technique and wonderful touch. They suggested that I do it professionally. Eventually I took it to heart and got into the business.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy gardening on Cape Cod. I also enjoy kayaking, biking and am an avid reader. Also like doing lighting for stage productions.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I hope they would know that I care about them and want them to leave feeling better about themselves physically and mentally.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I wouldn't say it is addictive but it certainly is rewarding when a client shows his appreciation for the services that I provide.
