AMatureMan's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My friend was having a very stressful day, so I asked him if he'd like me to give him a massage. By that time in my life, I'd had numerous massages, had a good sense of what the various masseurs had done on me, and went to work on him. He loved the massage, felt much less stressed and I was hooked.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I am a massage enthusiast and cannot imagine my life without massage. The sense of touch is soothing, calming, healing, and life giving. I want to help others experience these as well as continue to experience them myself.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, absolutely. Time again people who have experienced my massages have commented on how wonderful they were and how relaxed they made them feel. That is what a good masseur should do for his clients.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a positive, optimistic individual who is passionate about my work. If I were not, I would not be doing it. Life must be lived to the fullest, and it is too short not to be doing what you love.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Someone who leaves my massage should feel three things: relaxed; energized; and peaceful. In addition, they should be eager to return for another session with me.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my friends, hosting events where people can relax, laugh, and meet new and interesting people, and being available to make a difference in others lives. I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time outdoors. Family is important to me, so I create ways to have some memorable experiences with them.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel and do so as frequently as I can. Visiting new places here and abroad is an education in understanding cultures and being more understanding about our similarities and our differences.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been doing massages for about five years and hope to continue indefinitely as I see the benefits that result from regular massage sessions.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I would say a couple of my strengths are providing a comfortable and inviting environment, connecting with my clients, and as a result, providing an intuitive massage that best fits their needs.
