AlejandroPrice's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client had heavy tension in his upper back and shoulders. I was able to succesfully locate the muscle knots in his upper back on the left and right side and alleviate all the pain my client was experiencing in his entire back along with the tension in his shoulders using my deep tissue technique. My first client is still a client of mine 8 years later and continues to trust my healing capabilities. Satisfied clientele is what drives me to take on this profession.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Helping people alleviate any pain they are experiencing whether its through physical massage or aromatherapy, makes me happy so yes, being a Masseur is addictive. I would miss my masseur days if they came to an end.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, with over 32 clients across the United States and some clients in Canada. I have to toot my own horn and say " I am great at what I do."
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
If I had to pick something for my clients to know it would be my secret love for cooking and baking along with my obsession for music and going to the gym.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want my client to feel relief entirely, I want to take my clients to a positive and genuine euphoria.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
So I love to cook, dance, go to the gym, and on my spare time I love to go bungee jumping, swimming, and sky diving.
Why did you become a Masseur?
At a young age I was in a bad car accident which resulted in my older sister suffering from a severe concussion. My sister at age 16 lost all her memory and had to be taught everything again. I was 7 years old at the time and was living in a hospital with my family waiting for my sister to heal. Everyone else in the accident was severely injured but myself. While the nurses and doctors were gone, I would take care of my sister. I started out teaching her how to paint with stain glass painting. While painting with her one day, she asked me to rub her feet, I did, and she still till this day at 36 years old asks me for foot massages. So from a very young age, I've always had the ability and talent of a masseur from a very young age having to take care of my sister.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Take time to study the human body so that you can make conscious decisions on how to heal your clients safely and correctly.

How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur for 8 years and I plan on doing it until I get my Masters In Technology Management.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I prefer to travel, being a homebody isn't for me.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
