Arsenmassage's Massage Interview
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Success for a masseur in my opinion is measured by returning clients. I’m happy to say 8 out of 10 new clients book me again, so yes I would consider myself a successful masseur.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m an artist and singer, I enjoy being creative in any way I can. It’s what keeps me leveled and relaxed.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m a people pleaser. As long as you you approach me respectfully and are kind I will make sure your are satisfied.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling! I’ve set a goal this year to travel once a month. A short getaway from the everyday hustle. Thankfully massaging helps support this.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I’m unique in my approach. I feel relaxed when when the client feels comfortable around me so before anything I enjoy joking with them and asking them questions about themselves to better know how i can help serve their needs.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Don’t do it for the money, do it to help others and you will be successful. People see right through you if you’re only in it to collect a check.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been doing it for a year now and will continue to do so until I no longer have the time to do anymore.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
To be quite honest it wasn’t a good one. The gentleman was very strange and I believe he might have actually been on drugs. He also had strong BO which made it hard to be so close to him! (This is why I added the “please be freshly showered” note at the end)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel relaxed and rejuvenated and wanting to call me back when they feel tense again.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Not at all. Learning some techniques will certainly help but extensive training isn’t necessary.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I’ll always massage people. If not professionally for money, then personally for my significant other.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I needed a part time gig at first, but actually started enjoying meeting all the new people. I’ve made so mant powerful connections and expanded my network in ways I couldn’t imagine.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want their smile to last even after I am gone. I want them to remember the the experience in a positive light and reflect back to it when they want to feel relaxed.
