BostonDadBod's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Nov 19, 2023
- I want them to be more relaxed and resilient than when they came in. I am happy to let them talk as much or as little as they want during the massage.
- I am a traveler. I love to experience other cultures. I feel it opens us up to a more global community.
- I am older and empathetic to things clients are exposed to like a death to a close relative. A breakup that surprised them. Feelings of anxiousness in their job. I let them talk or be quiet.
- It was in a spa in Virginia. Client had back pain. I used Polar lotion on him to relax the area.
- I would say so based on the many repeat clients I have had over the years. Many have become friends and it's not only massage but a connection to talk freely and almost a "therapy" session. Although, I respect those that do not want to speak much during the massage.
- People told me I had warm hands and a great touch in college. So I pursued it after that.
- Like anything else, either you have the touch or you don't. Much like acting or playing an instrument. After people tell you that you do, then you should take a class to understand the basics of anatomy and muscles.
- I've been doing massage about 38 years and it relaxes me as much as the person I am massaging. I will do it as long as I have clients and the stamina to continue. It keeps me young at heart.
- Take an inexpensive class through adult education in your area. Then you will see if you really enjoy massaging many different body types instead of enrolling in an expensive school and finding out it wasn't for you. You can also do a Massage Exchange and see if your partner thinks you've got the touch.
- I enjoy Traveling as a hobby. I make Photobooks after each trip since I can never find the photos on my phone when I need to. I also enjoy walking, swimming, yoga, biking, nice restaurants, good theatre and opera.
- Relaxed, Rejuvenated, and hoping to have another appointment in a month or less !
- I love to travel and have done massage while traveling, but it is difficult without a table. I've counted down 44 states and 25 countries.
- I would say I did. When I lived in downtown Boston I had many clients from the neighborhood and hotels. People traveling and regular airline personnel. When I moved outside the city, I stopped advertising, but continued with a few of my clients that ventured 4 miles outside of downtown. Now I'd like to get back into massaging more frequently and realized many guys south of the city would prefer not going all the way downtown.
