I absolutely remember my first client—it’s hard to forget! We were both athletes, which made the session feel like we spoke the same language. There’s something about that shared understanding of how it “hurts so good” to have sore muscles worked on, knowing that the tension release is worth every bit of discomfort. He was quite the screamer, too, which made the whole experience both hilarious and, I’ll admit, a bit sexy. It was a great reminder of how powerful touch can be—not just for physical relief but for the connection it creates. That first day really solidified my passion for massage therapy.
