Cardigan's Massage Interview
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes. I consider myself successful because I have been a massuer since I was 19 and I customize each session to the client and provide them a quality massage that fits their needs and body. I make sure that each client feels incredible when our time together is through. Whether you are a regular or a first time client I always provide a quality session that will relax and renew. Try one and find out :)
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Being a Massage Therapist is addictive. The energy created between a masseur and client is unique and unlike any other interaction on earth. I don't think I will ever have the chance to miss my masseur days - since I don't plan on stopping any time soon.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Funny story my partner when I was in college wanted me to be able to massage him. So he paid for me to go to massage school. Since then I have maintained my license and have continued doing massage because I love making other men feel amazing. And the power of touch is incredible. It is therapeutic for me as well. It gives me a chance to stop the craziness of every day life for a while and focus on making someone else feel great. It is great
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been certified since 2001 and will do massage as long as I am able to and as long as I can satisfy my clients.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Happy. Relaxed. Revived. Cared For. Rejuvenated. Connected
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Training is important for a number of reasons. Someone without proper training could actually injure a client or cause an already existing injury to get worse. Clients in different age brackets and different shapes and sizes also require a different approach to their massage, as our bodies change.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm not sure what I would want all of my clients to know about me. Maybe that I am very easy going, flexible and that my over all goal is to make them happy and relaxed! On more of a personal note something many may not guess is that although it may not show I have anxiety .
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Happy
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
The experience. My client get the atmosphere of a spa (candles, music, bottled water, comfortable massage table, etc) with the privacy of my home. Plus the fact that I have considerable experience working on mens bodies that sets me above many other masseurs.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I don't travel nearly often enough. I would like to travel more and am always willing to travel for client(s).
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get educated and know what you are doing. It pays off.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was my partner (at the time). It was fun and hot.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Was a dancer/actor growing up. I keep busy with many creative projects. I design and create costume, custom greeting cards and a variety of other side projects.
