CodyNYC's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Dec 05, 2024
- When clients leave, I want them to feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated, both physically and mentally. I want them to feel like they’ve let go of all that built-up tension, with a sense of lightness and calm. It’s also important that they feel heard—like their needs were truly understood and addressed. If they leave feeling like they got a tailored experience that improved their well-being, that’s the best kind of feedback. I always hope they feel comfortable coming back whenever they need to recharge!
- Ah, my first client! I remember it clearly. It was a bit nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time. I had just finished my training and was ready to apply everything I’d learned. My first client was a bit of a test for me, but also an opportunity to really put my skills into practice. I focused on making them feel comfortable, asking about their preferences and any areas of tension. By the end of the session, they seemed really relaxed and happy, which gave me so much confidence to keep going. That first day was definitely a big milestone and really solidified my decision that massage is and will be a lifelong passion of mine.
