Time is Important!
Never forget how important time is. No, I don't mean watching the clock;
Let me explain further.
Aspects of time include, but are not limited to:
Wake up Time: Drinking your coffee, planning your day, and adjusting the calendar to make your plans work accordingly for you. This, usually also includes taking a trip to the facilities to open up the pipes.
Self Time: I shouldn't really explain that because it isn't always G rated
Quality Time with the pup: there are a couple types of pups, so this includes both :) I love all of mine :)
Quality Time with the Husband: (notice the pups come first because we spoil them) I need to do better about spending "quality time" with him; most nights its me watching a movie, and him reading a book falling asleep in my arms.
Exercise Time, again another thing that covid has seemed to put a damper on, but man if I haven't become more creative......We are talking about sandbag squats on the cement slab we have our back.
~ I say this to remind you how important time is; please respect time with others be present, and time others make for you~
Take a moment for yourself!
In todays world there is just so much going on, we never take time to appreciate ourselves anymore. When was the last time your gave you a pat on the back for something you do/have done? When did you last say I have accomplished this for myself or my family? Have you ever just closed your eyes and just cleared your head?
Now is the time for these things to happen. Do yourself a favor, while reading this I want you to take 5 deep breaths, wait not yet! When your take these breaths close your eyes and focus on just the breathing, do it slowly and with intent. Take your time, 5 seconds in, hold for 5 seconds, then out for 5 seconds. Yes I said do this 5 times!
You should have just let some stress go! It is that simple exercise every day that can keep you from killing your other half while under cabin fever! Now pat yourself on the back and tell yourself that one less thing you need to worry about to day. HA see what I did there :)
have a good day!
Health tip #1 Stretch
Stretching is essential to everyday health. So many people stretch and do it improperly. There are tons of videos and information out here to learn on your own.
There are many muscles in your body that don't get attention that need it. If you are waking up stiff in the morning or have low back pain, typically it has to do with the psoas muscle. This muscle happens to attach itself to your spine and wraps around to connect to the inner femur bone. When this muscle doesn't get the proper attention, it causes a constant pull on the lower lumbar. I have a new stretch routine for this muscle to one of my daily routine after I suffered L4-L5, L5-S1 herniations. It has taken me a little over a year to heal and get back into the gym. This is just one type of tip I can give you after a massage session that I have learned through the years. Please let me know if you have any questions.
