DBrandon's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was approximately 10 years ago when I was living in NYC and decided to do massage just for tips. As I was getting repeat requests I realized maybe I was pretty decent at it and eventually went to Massage Therapy school and am now licensed in both Ohio and California.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a big time softball player and perhaps I'll wear a jock during a massage session for you haha.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes absolutely! I've had hundreds of clients over the years with many regulars and semi-regulars. Some current clients I have been massaging for over 7 years.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I feel my success in massage existed prior to obtaining formal training. But now that I am licensed I am able to incorporate therapeutic techniques as needed and to offer sports massages for athletes.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
My goal is to make the client fully rejuvenated and relaxed, and for them to leave with a smile on their faces. That tells me they enjoyed the massage.
