EightBySixCMT's Massage Interview
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed! I want them to feel like they have had the best massage ever. I like making nervous first time massage clients feel right at home with my personality and massage abilities.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because I have an intuitive touch and love being able to make bodies feel better. I love getting texts from clients telling me how amazing they feel the next day. It makes me happy. Also customer service is essential to me. All my clients leave feeling respected and satisfied.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am not just good with my hands but I am also like my client's therapist. Many clients leave me feeling physically better and emotionally. I love what I do and it shows. I am in it for the passion of helping not just the money. That genuine attitude can be felt with every client.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
It is not just about being good with your hands or attractive. It is the WHOLE package! You must be really good and have great people skills and know what you are doing. My biggest plus is I get all knots out. So when someone wants legit they come to me.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes I do. I have been successful at building new clients and repeat clients on a full time consistent basis. I never stop improving or learning new techniques. I can do medium or hard pressure. I adjust to the client's needs.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes. I remember when I had my first private client who had been going to Burke Williams for years. He said I gave a much better massage and kept coming back every month!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes! I love helping make people feel better. Touch is essential for the body
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am a writer. Great listener and genuinely care about people.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
travel, dance, write, anything adventurous. I have gone skydiving
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a masseur 9 years and will always continue.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel internationally. But I have been to almost all 50 states
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
You can always improve your technique from learning new things. I learn a lot from other massage therapists and teach them techniques also.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
100% satisfied! I love when my clients say, "I have been looking for a massage therapist like you for years!" If you aren't satisfied I am not. All clients leave feeling extremely relaxed and pain free!
