- I've been a masseur for a little while now, but it's been about a year on this site I think. I plan to continue for a while! Even if something changes and I stop doing this full time, I really don't see myself pulling out of this completely!

- I feel like each masseur offers something different to their clients. I also know that clients can have different needs. I don’t think there is anything in particular that sets me apart from other masseurs.

That being said, I have a great ability to connect really well with my clients. If you want to know what sets me apart, then come for a massage, and let me know how I compare to others you’ve seen!

- Learn. The. Basics. There are a few key techniques that anyone doing this should take the time to learn. It makes a world of difference. How to touch, apply pressure, what posture to hold so you don’t wear out your back, and how long you should be spending on each area are some great starting points.

- Honestly, this started as a way to make more money. I had a corporate job, but with inflation and cost of living, I started looking for something new. I posted ads here and on RentMen. Turns out, not only do I really love the work I do, but my clients really like me as well!

Today, I do this full time!

- I have a bunch of hobbies. I love spending time with my dog. I hit the gym regularly, and love being outdoors. Camping, hiking, biking in the summer, and skiing in the winter!

I also love to cook, watch movies, and play video games. I’m a really social guy, so I often organize dinners and game nights with friends!

Travelling is a big passion of mine too. These days I’m doing road trips more than anything else. I’ve been lucky enough to travel many places around the world, and I continue to plan more of that in the future!

- I want them to feel that their time with me was more like an investment in themselves more than an expense for a service. When we go for a haircut, or pamper ourselves, we feel good. I always try to have my clients leave with that same feeling.

- I love connecting with people. I live by the philosophy that I can succeed while still lifting those around me up, rather than push them down. When I see someone struggling, I like to stop and listen. We live in a world where we are bombarded by content. Sometimes, it’s nice to take a minute and just connect, without the distractions.

- I do! As I mentioned before, I really took the time to craft a technique that not only speaks to me but speaks to my clients. This is something that continues to evolve. I am currently working on a new massage project that I am excited to launch soon. I measure my success through client satisfaction. When I have people who thank me, and take the time to come back and see me when they can, it’s because I’m able to meet their needs. There is something both humbling and motivating in that dynamic.

- I definitely see how this can be addictive! I absolutely love providing various types of massages, and meeting client needs. I get the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of life, looking to have a moment of relaxation and joy. There is this unique feeling about being able to provide that. To see someone react positively to my touch, and help transport them through a really exciting moment where they leave smiling from ear to ear!

- I had two back-to-back clients on my first day. The first client was full of energy, and REALLY enjoyed the massage I gave him! I was so nervous, and it really motivated me!

My second client was quiet during the whole massage. At the end, I asked for his feedback, explaining it was my first day at this. He replied “well.. you have potential. You definitely aren’t the worst massage I’ve had, so I guess that’s good”

…I was floored. I realized that just because people close to me gave me compliments about my massages, didn’t mean I had the skills required to do it professionally! That started me on a long self-training path, where today I can say that I have really crafted a great technique that many of my clients really seem to love!
