Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was not sure what to expect since I had never done massage before. My first client was WONDERFUL! In all the time I have done massage I have never had a client I did not like to massage. I have met some of the nicest people, and many have become friends!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
The thing that is addictive for me is about 50% of my clients come to me from outside California and outside the United States....people traveling on business. I love meeting people from other States and other countries....learning from them about the area in which they live.....or the culture in which they live.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do in the fact that I have about an 80% return rate on clients....and also that many of my clients have become close friends. In fact, all my friends are people I have met through my massage business.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
That although I am very muscular....I am the most down to earth person in the world. After I meet people....whether in a dance club....or in my massage practice....people always tell me how friendly and nice I am. Many people are intimidated by me because of the muscles, etc. and are shy to meet me. In dance clubs I usually dance with my shirt off because clubs are usually hot once you are dancing for a while. So off comes my shirt....then all eyes are on me. Many times I will have guys come over once I get off the dance floor and they tell me they had to do a few shots to get the nerve to come over to say hello. After talking to them for a few minutes they always say "wow, you are so nice....you have zero attitude!" I find that so strange....just because you have a nice body you have to have attitude? That about sums it up.....zero attitude....and very friendly!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Well of course the priority is to feel VERY RELAXED! I have had many clients so relaxed when they leave they walk into my sliding glass door by accident! So relaxed is a priority. Also, I want them to feel like they have just made a good friend. I do not really have any friends outside of my massage business, so my clients end up being my friends.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Anything to do with health.....weightlifting, crunches, hiking, etc. Ever since I was a teenager I have been into health and fitness. I was a shot putter on our high school track team....and ever since, all my spare time has to do with sports....I love it!!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I was getting massage....and it felt so good....I decided to go to massage school and make other people feel good.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
If you love people this job is for you.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
There are many great masseurs out there! From a physical standpoint I think I am one of the few blonde, muscular masseurs from a Scandinavian country (Sweden) in San Francisco. I never used to mention my ancestry in my advertising before....but so many clients kept asking me if I was Scandinavian after they met me that I started to let people know where I was from. Another unique thing is that I am one of the few masseurs with a personal website. Be sure to check it out...it has many hot photos and goes into detail about me and the massage....click on this link or enter it in Google:
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Over 6 years and will massage as long as it is fun and I enjoy doing it!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
A mix of both :)
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Of course! I went to massage school and learned massage. It is essential!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
As I mentioned before....the priority is to be RELAXED....I also want them to feel like they have made a new friend. My main goal is to make my client feel relaxed and comfortable with me. I do incalls at my house....so the set up is private with no roomates. If I go to someone's home or hotel for an outcall I like to bring candles, music, etc. to give it a spa like ambience.
