Fitdrake's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Apr 06, 2021

1
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- I’m one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and I try to make a personal bond with all of my clients. It’s important to me that each and every individual feels welcome and comfortable in receiving my massage therapy services.

2
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- Clients need to feel as though they received a first-rate massage from an experienced professional. Most importantly, they need to see (or rather feel) the value of the massage as compared to the price they paid for their session, whether for health or therapeutic reasons. Clients look forward to a royal treatment and want to feel special; therefore, I strive to pamper the client and customize their massage to their liking during each visit.

3
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- My first client was a retiring massage therapist who said I was a natural, and graciously gave me my first massage table. That was the vote of confidence I needed to make a career out of massage therapy.

4
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- Over 28 years now and I definitely plan on continuing for many more to come.

5
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- I think it's very addictive, but very rewarding. I have made career out of massage therapy, so yes…I would miss it greatly.

6
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Always be open to learning more and willing to practice. Massage is an art of which you must master. Try to bring your own unique style and energy to every session.

7
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- I carefully listen to the client’s needs during their first consultation and throughout each session to customize their massage so they receive the maximum benefits. Additionally, I put a lot of energy and passion into executing a spa-like experience for my clients. I’m extremely professional and my personality is quite contagious. This really assists me in bonding with and making the shyest of clients feel comfortable.

8
Why did you become a Masseur?

- "I love the art of massage!" There are many benefits to receiving a great massage and I have always enjoyed the health and therapeutic aspects of its artistry. Helping others feel amazing; whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally will always be my main goal.

9
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- Yes. In my mind, success is determined by the establishment of repeat customers. It is not only successful, but also a huge compliment when a client wants to book their next appointment immediately after their last session. I have been blessed with many individuals becoming regular clients.

10
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- One word…impressed! There are a number of masseurs available for massage, but I want the individual to feel as though they picked the best option of the bunch.

11
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I travel as much as I am able too; however, the commitment to my clients comes first to meet their scheduling needs. I find it necessary to be available as much as possible to meet the demands of their busy schedules. Thus, this makes me more of a homebody lately.

12
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- Absolutely! The more training and years of experience you have, the better you will become. It takes a lot of bodywork hours and practice to master the art of massage.

13
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- I am extremely passionate about my health and well-being. With that said, I spend the majority of my free time at the gym either exercising or sculpting my body. On days I’m not at the gym, I enjoy practicing martial arts, yoga, and various types of dancing.
