FreeSpirit's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, on days when I don't do bodywork, I really miss it. I gain energy and strength from my clients. And joy in my ability to help them live a better, healthier life.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to get naked in a natural hot spring. It feels so good to feel the warm water bubbling up from the center of the earth!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
He should feel like he drifted off into another world, slipped into a trance, and came out of it refreshed, healed and rejuvenated.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think the answer is YES. That's what allows the therapist to give a better massage. You should inquire as to your therapist's training. Some untrained techniques could actually hurt you.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I like to travel every few months, if possible. Even if it's a short weekend trip driving to the mountains. I feel that I need to work hard for a few months, and then I deserve a travel reward. Sometimes the best part of traveling is planning the trip.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Definitely so. Clients tell me all the time how my therapy is better than others that they tried. Every client goes home completely relaxed and satisfied.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
They should wish that it wasn't going to end. That they could do it again. They will feel like they're in a better place, able to move their neck, arms and legs freely. And they'll feel completely satisfied.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a Masseur for 10 years now. I'd like to continue to offer therapy as long as there are men who enjoy it.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My maturity and years of experience.
