FriendlyBrit's Massage Interview
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
In some cases yes, and some people have that natural instinctual ability to understand the human body and what it needs.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed and at ease and often I hear how familiar spending time feels to them, no nervous or awkwardness at all which is one of the things I feel I excel at
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Either is fine for me, travelling within reason
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
about 3 years now and I am planning on learning more and getting even more training
no plans to stop anytime soon.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am super super easy to connect with, in a few mins you will think we have been friends forever.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Listen well, connect with the person you are talking to.
Why did you become a Masseur?
At first it was a way to meet people and possibly friendships, and in time it was the satisfaction I got from knowing I helped someone
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I am the techies guy you will ever meet, I know my tech and I am excellent with anything electronics related.
I love cars and heavily into EVs, I watch a lot of movies and go to the cinema very often
Play video games, paint, anything art related
My dogs are very important to me and making new friends when possible
In my spare time I am into legos and model making.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Happy relaxed and would like to come back at some point.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I do, where I lived before in CA was so remote I only had ONE client
I am hoping moving to Augusta area I get to do this way more often.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I believe so, everyone I massaged came back and stayed intouch.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am 45, born and raised in the UK
with Middle Eastern/Mediterranean origins
I am biLingual, have a very cool interesting job that I can talk about all the time.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
It started as a massage exchange, and then one time I met this guy who just wanted to be massaged and he fell asleep and snored so hard
woke up with a smile on his face and asked me to come back
and almost every week I went to massage him till I moved away.
